Severe tropical storm Kristine still affecting parts of Luzon

Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, internationally known as Trami, continues to affect parts of Luzon with its trough even after exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Occidental Mindoro and Palawan are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Kristine's trough.

As of Saturday morning, Kristine was located 630 km west of Bacnotan, La Union, with sustained winds of 95 km/h and gusts up to 115 km/h, moving westward at 20 km/h.

The Southwesterly Windflow will bring similar weather conditions to the Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Northern Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Kong-rey was last spotted 1,825 km east of Central Luzon, moving northwestward with sustained winds of 65 km/h and gusts up to 80 km/h.
