Severe Tropical Storm Bebinca weakens but enhances Habagat, bringing rains nationwide

Severe Tropical Storm Bebinca has weakened into a tropical storm but continues to enhance the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, bringing intense rains nationwide.

It was last located 1,500 kilometers east of Extreme Northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h and gustiness of up to 105 kph.

PAGASA Administrator Nathaniel Servando advised Filipinos to be alert for hazards caused by continuous heavy rain, such as floods and landslides.

MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Negros Occidental will experience heavy to intense rains.

Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, the rest of Bicol, the rest of the Visayas, and several provinces in Mindanao can expect moderate to heavy rains.

Moderate to rough seas of up to 3.5 meters are expected over some seaboards.
