Severe Tropical Storm Bebinca, internationally known as Bebinca, is enhancing the Southwest Monsoon.

It is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Friday evening, where it will be named Ferdie.

Bebinca is moving northward at 35 kph with maximum sustained winds of 100 kph and gustiness of up to 125 kph.

The storm is projected to briefly stay inside the PAR, exiting by Saturday morning.

While landfall is unlikely, Bebinca's trough and the enhanced habagat may bring heavy rains to most of the country over the weekend.

Areas including Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, BARMM, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Soccsksargen may receive 100 to 200 millimeters of rainfall in the next 24 hours.

PAGASA warns of possible flash floods or landslides in areas experiencing heavy rainfall.
