Senate suspends work on Aug. 26, 2025 due to bad weather
Senate President Francis Escudero has ordered the suspension of work in the Senate on August 26 due to predicted heavy rainfall from a low pressure area and the southwest monsoon.
Despite the work suspension, the plenary session of the Commission on Appointments (CA) will proceed as scheduled at 10 a.m.
Escudero directed the MGSB to ensure that essential personnel are present to prepare the Senate Hall for the CA's session.
All other Senate officials and employees are excused from reporting to work.
