Ballot boxes transmitted to the Senate now at 81 percent
As of May 17, 2022, the Senate has received 81.50 percent of the ballot boxes for president and vice president.
A total of 141 Certificates of Canvass (COCs) have been transmitted to the Senate, out of the expected 173.
The latest COCs received were from Tawi-Tawi, Leyte, Davao City, Zamboanga del Sur, 63 barangays of BARMM, Siquijor, Bohol, and Manila.
The Senate also received COCs from CNMI (Agana), Kuwait, Japan, and Oman.
All COCs and Election Returns (ERs) will be transferred to the House of Representatives before May 24.
Both houses of Congress are expected to convene on May 24 to canvass the votes for the national elections.
