Sara Duterte leads Bongbong Marcos in approval and trust ratings survey

A December 2025 Pulse Asia survey reveals that Vice President Sara Duterte has a higher approval and trust rating compared to President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Duterte's performance rating stands at 56 percent, with 54 percent trusting her, while Marcos Jr. garnered a 34 percent approval rating and 32 percent trust rating.

Conversely, 48 percent of Filipinos disapprove of Marcos Jr.'s performance and 47 percent distrust him, a slight increase from September.

Marcos Jr.'s approval rating increased slightly from 33 percent to 34 percent, while his disapproval rating rose from 44 percent to 48 percent.

Vice President Duterte's approval rating remained at 56 percent, and her trust rating slightly declined from 56 percent to 54 percent.

Pulse Asia noted that the trust and approval scores for both leaders remained essentially unchanged between September and December 2025, except for Marcos Jr.'s disapproval rating.

Controlling inflation was identified as the most urgent national concern for Filipinos.
