Sara Duterte advises supporters to respond to cancellation with kindness

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, the UniTeam's vice presidential candidate, stated that some supporters feel hurt for being "cancelled" or boycotted due to their support for the Marcos-Duterte tandem.

She advised supporters to respond to such "cancellation" attempts with kindness, metaphorically "throwing a burger" or bread back at their accusers.

Duterte explained her unconventional advice is in line with the Biblical passage, "If they cast stones at you, throw bread back at them."

The term "canceling" in the context of social media refers to publicly shaming individuals, regardless of the merit of the accusations.

Senatorial candidate Salvador Panelo stated that the UniTeam is the only campaign focused on unity, contrasting it with other aspirants who allegedly criticize or dig up negative information about opponents.
