Missing sabungeros network seeks accountability from Atong Ang

Families of missing cockfighting enthusiasts, forming the Justice for Missing Sabungeros Network, are urging the government to hold businessman Charlie "Atong" Ang accountable for their loved ones' disappearances.

They labeled Ang as a "monster" and "demon," demanding that the government prosecute him as the central figure behind the disappearances.

Whistleblower Julie "Dondon" Patidongan reiterated his accusation that Ang is the mastermind behind the abductions and claimed actress Gretchen Barreto is also involved.

Patidongan also implicated a colonel in allegedly confiscating his phone and passport, vowing to reveal the officer's identity in a future case.

He expressed hope for positive results from the search and retrieval operation in Taal Lake, with the network also calling for investigations into Duterte and Duterte officials who may be covering up crimes.

Malacañang, however, stated there is no cover-up in the case of the missing sabungeros.

Ang has previously denied the allegations, with his lawyers filing complaints against Patidongan and accusing him of extortion.
