Rep. Teodoro denies rape, lasciviousness raps filed by 2 policewomen

Marikina City Representative Marcelino "Marcy" Teodoro vehemently denied allegations of acts of lasciviousness and rape filed against him by two policewomen.

Teodoro described the accusations as "malicious and untrue," asserting they lacked sufficient basis and were fabricated with the intention to damage his reputation.

He characterized the allegations as a politically motivated attack by desperate forces aiming to destroy him.

The lawmaker stated that he has not yet received the formal complaint.

Department of Justice (DOJ) spokesperson Assistant Secretary Mico Clavano said the complaints would undergo a legal evaluation to determine if there is sufficient evidence before a preliminary investigation begins.

The Marikina City Police Office confirmed that the two officers have been reassigned to the Philippine National Police national headquarters at Camp Crame for their safety.
