Marikina Mayor defends husband Rep. Teodoro against rape allegations

Marikina Mayor Maan Teodoro defended her husband, Representative Marcy Teodoro, against accusations of rape by sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness filed by two policewomen.

She stated that she knows her husband's character and integrity well and stands by him, describing the accusations as untrue, baseless, and pure nonsense.

Mayor Teodoro highlighted her husband's years of service characterized by humility, honesty, and compassion.

She believes the allegations are politically motivated and part of a wide and organized effort by political forces to destroy his name.

The Women and Children Protection Center of the Philippine National Police warned against the social media sharing of the victims' affidavits, citing it as a violation of survivors' rights.
