Rep. Teodoro files perjury raps vs 2 policewomen who accused him of rape

Marikina City Representative Marcelino Teodoro filed perjury complaints against two female police officers who accused him of sexual assault and rape.

He presented 28 witnesses to the Department of Justice (DOJ) to refute the allegations during the preliminary investigation.

Teodoro's lawyer, Alma Mallonga, stated that numerous witnesses can attest that Teodoro was never alone with the complainants, making the alleged crimes impossible.

Mallonga also pointed out that the policewomen continued to report for work and interacted normally with colleagues on the same days they claim to have been abused.

The two policewomen, formerly assigned as close-in security officers to Teodoro, had filed their complaints before the DOJ last month.

Teodoro reiterated that the complaints against him were politically motivated.

He is also considering filing complaints against his accusers with the police Internal Affairs Service.
