Rep. Garbin questions P529M flood control budget in Rep. Tiangco's district

Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Alfredo Garbin challenged Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco to explain the P529 million flood control budget allocated to Tiangco's district.

Garbin stated that the contracts for these projects were awarded to contractors flagged by President Marcos and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), including St. Timothy Construction Corp.

This statement follows Tiangco's accusations that Garbin's colleague, Rep. Elizaldy Co, made P13 billion in insertions to the 2025 national budget.

Garbin argued that Tiangco's focus on Co's alleged insertions is hypocritical, given the contracts in his own district.

Garbin previously clarified that the funds Tiangco questioned regarding Co were not released, whereas the Navotas flood control funds have been downloaded.
