Rain or Shine completes comeback, seizes solo PBA lead

Rain or Shine completed a thrilling comeback against TNT, securing a 91-89 victory in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup to seize the solo lead.

The Elasto Painters overcame an 18-point deficit, erasing an 18-point lead by TNT early in the first quarter and finishing the first half trailing 54-42.

Rain or Shine rallied in the second half, taking an 83-81 lead with a 9-0 run in the fourth quarter.

Gabe Norwood led the charge with 16 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, complemented by Gian Mamuyac's 14 points.

Andrei Caracut hit a baseline floater with 2:01 remaining to give Rain or Shine the decisive 90-89 lead, and Jhonard Clarito sealed the victory with a free throw.

With the win, the Elasto Painters improved to 6-2 and snapped TNT's four-game winning streak, with the Tropang Gier dropping to 5-2.

Rey Nambatac and RR Pogoy scored 18 points apiece for TNT.
