Rain or Shine wins Game 3, narrows deficit to 2-1 vs TNT

Rain or Shine secured a crucial 103-98 victory over TNT Tropang Giga in Game 3 of their PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals series, narrowing the deficit to 2-1.

Import Deon Thompson led the Elasto Painters with 19 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a block, while Caelan Tiongson contributed 18 markers, seven boards, and four dimes, and Adrian Nocum added 16 points.

Rain or Shine's coach Yeng Guiao emphasized ball movement, spacing, and improved three-point shooting, as the team outscored TNT 12-6 from beyond the arc in Game 3, a significant shift from previous games.

The Elasto Painters also capitalized on their aggression, earning a 21-of-31 free throw advantage against TNT's 20 attempts.

Guiao also noted TNT guard Rey Nambatac's slump, averaging only 3.0 points in the semifinals compared to 10.2 in earlier rounds, attributing it partly to the pressure of playing without Jayson Castro, who is out for the season.

With the series now at 2-1, Rain or Shine faces a virtual do-or-die Game Four tonight, aiming to tie the series.
