Quiboloy endorses Marcos Jr., Duterte for president, VP

Self-styled pastor Apollo Quiboloy, who faces sex trafficking charges in the US, has officially endorsed Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. for president and Sara Duterte for vice president.

Quiboloy, founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), declared his "100% support" for the "UniTeam" tandem on February 1, which also marked the start of Duterte's nationwide motorbike ride.

He also endorsed senatorial candidates Harry Roque and Jinggoy Estrada, the latter still facing plunder and graft charges.

Quiboloy is a spiritual adviser to President Rodrigo Duterte, Sara Duterte's father and a known associate.

While Quiboloy is considered a kingmaker in Mindanao, his church's reach is primarily in Mindanao and among some overseas Filipino workers, according to a political science professor.

The KOJC claims a significant following, with over 4 million members in the Philippines and an additional 2 million abroad.
