QC to create special vaccine lanes for seniors and PWDs

Quezon City will establish dedicated vaccination lanes and exclusive vaccination sites for senior citizens (A2) and individuals with comorbidities (A3) to ensure their timely inoculation.

Mayor Joy Belmonte stated that these special lanes are for the A1 (frontliners), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (persons with comorbidities) groups to give way to the A4 category or economic frontliners.

The city government is considering offering incentives and prizes to villages with the highest vaccination turnout for their A2 and A3 residents.

Additionally, A2 and A3 groups can access the vaccination program through online booking or barangay-assisted booking.

The city government is also planning to have two shift vaccine schedules for individuals under the A4 category, with shifts extending until midnight to accommodate workers.

Quezon City is also eyeing to park its vaccine buses in talipapas (wet markets) to vaccinate vendors and toda (tricycle) drivers.
