Manila gov’t launches mall vaccination program, accepts walk-ins for A4 group

The Manila city government has launched its mall-based vaccination program on June 2, utilizing four major malls as inoculation sites for priority groups.

These mall vaccination sites are located at SM Manila, SM San Lazaro, Lucky Chinatown, and Robinsons Place Manila.

Manila Mayor Francisco 'Isko Moreno' Domagoso announced that walk-ins are now allowed for the A4 priority group, or economic frontliners, including non-residents who work in the city.

The decision to allow walk-ins was made due to a low turnout of scheduled recipients.

Mayor Moreno stated that the national government began the inoculation of the A4 group in June.

As of the first week of June, Manila has inoculated 20 percent of its population aged 18 and above, deploying over 270,000 vaccine doses.
