QC secures 24 DOH-approved vax sites

Quezon City has secured 24 vaccination sites approved by the Department of Health for its COVID-19 vaccination program.

The approved sites will be spread across the city's six districts, with specific locations including schools, parks, and covered courts.

Additionally, 48 parishes from the Diocese of Cubao and 48 parishes from the Diocese of Novaliches will also serve as vaccination centers.

Mayor Joy Belmonte stated that these approved sites have confirmed staff and personnel available.

The local government is prioritizing approximately 1,046,027 individuals for vaccination, including health workers, senior citizens, indigent residents, and persons with disability.

Quezon City is among the LGUs that have a tripartite agreement with AstraZeneca and the national government for vaccine procurement.

The city is also considering vaccinating employees working within Quezon City, and Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. has encouraged collaboration with the private sector for acquiring more vaccines for employees.
