The fifth case is a 26-year-old male resident who may have contracted the virus in a hospital where he was first admitted for Dengue.

He visited two private hospitals, with the second one identifying the virus but reportedly advising him to go home due to lack of accommodation.

The Department of Health team took the patient to the hospital on Thursday morning.

Belmonte stated that the two new cases are part of the nationwide tally of 52 confirmed cases.
