Pudtol Mayor Hector Pascua tests positive for Covid-19

Pudtol Mayor Hector Pascua in Apayao province has tested positive for Covid-19.

Mayor Pascua is currently undergoing quarantine at the Payanan Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility due to mild symptoms.

He mentioned that his active engagement in municipal matters and dialogues with various government agencies likely led to his exposure.

Following his diagnosis, the Pudtol municipal hall building has been placed under lockdown for contact tracing and disinfection.

Individuals who had close contact with Mayor Pascua are advised to coordinate with the Rural Health Unit Contact Tracing Team, isolate themselves, and undergo swab testing.

Apayao province has recorded a total of 302 Covid-19 cases, with 106 active cases, 194 recoveries, and two deaths as of the report.
