PRO-8 receives PPE to help contain COVID-19

The Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8) has acquired 16 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Police Brigadier General Ferdinand O. Divina stated that the PPE would support the government's containment efforts.

The Philippine National Police (PNP), in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH), is tasked with contact tracing, patient transfer, and ensuring the well-being of personnel and responders.

The acquired PPE includes items such as Tyvek Chemical Suits, N95 Masks, Thermo Scans, and Power Sprayers.

This equipment is specifically for the PRO-8's Regional Standby Support Force (RSSF) team, which has 34 personnel.

The RSSF team began training on the proper use of the PPE on March 3, conducted by the Regional Health Service 8.

Divina emphasized that the safety and protection of both the community and their personnel are the top priorities during the COVID-19 outbreak.
