PRO-7 sends 500 sacks of rice to Bicol typhoon victims

The Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) has dispatched 500 sacks of rice to aid victims of Super Typhoon Rolly in the Bicol Region.

These rice donations were provided by the Cristina Lee Dino Foundation through the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas.

PRO-7 chief Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro stated that the Philippine National Police chief directed them to prioritize relief operations.

A 100-man team from PRO-7 is on standby and ready for deployment to assist in the ongoing relief efforts.

In addition to rice, the relief shipment includes canned goods, bottled water, and portable gas stoves destined for severely affected areas in Bicol, such as Camarines Sur and Masbate.

The relief goods were transported via BRP Pangasinan PS31 of the Philippine Navy.

Ferro urged the public to extend donations of water, food, clothing, and blankets to PRO-7 for delivery to Bicol.

The Cebu city government has also established relief operations centers at City Hall and Fuente Osmeña for public donations.
