President Marcos Jr. rejects hair follicle drug test challenge

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will not submit to a hair follicle drug test as dared by his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, because the allegations of illegal drug use against him have already been resolved.

Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro stated that the President is clean and will not yield to provocations from those she described as destabilizers.

Senator Imee Marcos had challenged the President and the First Family to undergo a hair follicle test during her appearance at an Iglesia ni Cristo rally.

The Senator also accused President Marcos Jr. of using illegal drugs and implicated his son, House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos, in drug-related incidents involving her children and other relatives.

In 2021, Marcos Jr. presented a negative drug test from St. Luke's Medical Center, though this was met with skepticism as he took the examination in a private hospital unlike other candidates who submitted to the PDEA.
