Romualdez urges Filipinos to use PSC facilities to stay fit
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to open its track and field ovals in Pasig, Manila, and Baguio for free public access.
This initiative aims to encourage a more active lifestyle among Filipinos.
The PSC officially opened these facilities to the public on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.
However, morning time slots are not possible as national teams use the facilities for training during these hours.
Marcos Jr. made the announcement during his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.
He also pledged full support for national games such as the Palarong Pambansa and Batang Pinoy to strengthen grassroots development.
