Marcos awards Order of Lapu-Lapu to soldiers in West PH Sea clash

Facundo lost a thumb due to what the Philippine Navy described as an intentional high-speed ramming by the CCG during a resupply mission to BRP Sierra Madre near Ayungin Shoal on June 17.
President Marcos Jr. presented the award during a Talk to Troops event at the Western Command headquarters in Palawan.
Additionally, 79 other military personnel who participated in the mission were awarded the Order of Lapu-Lapu Rank of Kamagi.
President Marcos stated that the government would continue to provide for the needs and welfare of the awardees and their families.
