PRC deploys 2,260 staff, volunteers for Eleksyon 2025

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) will deploy 2,260 staff and volunteers nationwide to support Eleksyon 2025 from May 9 to 12.

They are prepared to assist schools, malls, and respond to areas of concern during the election period.

The deployed assets include 2,260 staff and volunteers, 178 ambulances (38 on standby in key areas), 103 foot patrol units, 28 emergency vehicles, and 51 mobile units.

Additionally, 291 first aid stations and 146 welfare desks will be established in various public locations like airports, arenas, barangay halls, bus terminals, and malls.

PRC Chairman Richard Gordon stated the organization is available to assist individuals feeling unwell or anxious, but not to intervene in violence.

Services such as airlift transport to the nearest hospital will be available, and individuals can dial 143 for assistance with election-related needs or ambulance services.

The PRC has partnered with COMELEC, DILG, and DOH to safeguard voter welfare through a memorandum of agreement.
