PRC provides medical aid to over 900 during Nazareno feast

Over 900 individuals received medical attention during the Feast Day of Jesus Nazareno on Thursday, with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) mobilizing over 1,000 volunteers and staff.

Of those served, 446 individuals required vital signs monitoring, and 412 needed minor assistance for ailments such as allergies, burns, blisters, dizziness, and headaches.

Eight individuals experienced major injuries, including dizziness with blurry vision and difficulty breathing, with 30 individuals transported to various hospitals for further treatment.

The PRC Emergency Field Hospital treated 20 patients, while others were taken to medical facilities including Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Tondo Medical Center, and UP-PGH DOH EFH.

Chief complaints from patients ranged from minor issues to more severe conditions like nausea, chest pain, deviated nose, suspected fracture, and profuse bleeding.

Additionally, 115 individuals received welfare assistance, including psychosocial first aid and referrals.
