Poe lauds MRT-3, LRT-1 extended operating hours

Senator Grace Poe commended the extension of operating hours for the MRT-3 and LRT-1, recognizing it as a significant relief for commuters, especially workers who often struggle to catch the last train.

The extended train services are particularly beneficial as the ongoing rehabilitation of EDSA encourages more people to opt for public transportation.

Poe also called for improved commuter support, emphasizing the need for adequate security, functional help desks, and well-maintained facilities.

Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC) announced that LRT-1 weekday operations will now end 30 minutes later, with the last trains departing Dr. Santos station at 10:30 p.m. and Fernando Poe Jr. station at 10:45 p.m.

Similarly, MRT-3 implemented extended weekday evening hours starting March 24, with the last southbound train leaving North Avenue at 10:30 p.m. and the final northbound train departing Taft Avenue at 11:09 p.m.
