PNVF refuses to endorse ITCs for PVL foreign imports

The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) has refused to endorse the International Transfer Certificates (ITCs) required for foreign imports to play in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.

Guest imports for teams like ZUS Coffee and Akari were unable to participate in the conference's curtain raiser, the opening match between ZUS Coffee and Akari, due to the PNVF's actions.

The PVL confirmed that as of the opening day, teams had yet to receive the ITCs from the PNVF, stating that playing without the document puts athletes at risk of sanctions from the Federation Internationale de Volleyball.

PVL organizer Sports Vision expressed frustration, calling the PNVF's actions unprofessional and obstructionist despite the timely submission of all required documentation.

The league has formally requested the PNVF to expedite the signing process to prevent further disruption to the tournament.

PNVF president Ramon "Tats" Suzara has not yet responded to requests for comment.
