Obstruction of justice raps eyed vs. KOJC execs, lawyers
The Philippine National Police (PNP) is preparing to file obstruction of justice charges against officials and lawyers of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) for allegedly assisting Apollo Quiboloy evade arrest.
PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo confirmed that identified KOJC officers and legal representatives who were vocal about Quiboloy's supposed absence may be included in the charges.
Quiboloy went into hiding after being ordered arrested by a Pasig City court for qualified human trafficking and also faces a child sexual abuse case before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.
He and four co-accused aides surrendered on September 8 after a 16-day police takeover of the KOJC compound in Davao City.
The PNP is also planning a rescue operation for other individuals allegedly abused by Quiboloy who remain inside the KOJC organization and are reportedly afraid.
