PNP spokesperson Fajardo reassigned to Eastern Mindanao command

Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, previously the Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson, has been reassigned from her role as Director for Comptrollership to the Area Police Command-Eastern Mindanao.

This move is part of a larger reshuffle affecting four ranking officials, as ordered by acting PNP chief Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.

The reassignments took effect on September 6.

Major General Westrimundo Obinque has taken over as the Director for Comptrollership, moving from his previous position as head of the National Police Training Institute (NPTI).

Major General Christopher Birung is the new head of the NPTI.

Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete of the Area Police Command-Southern Luzon was also reassigned to the Area Police Command-Eastern Mindanao.

Fajardo had served as PNP spokesperson since 2022 and recently held both roles under former PNP chief General Nicolas Torre III.
