PNP deploys medical reserve force for vaccine drive

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is ready to deploy its Medical Reserve Force (MRF) and other assets to support the national government's vaccination drive for essential workers and indigent Filipinos.

PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar has instructed police units to coordinate with the National Task Force on COVID-19, the Department of Health, and LGUs for the vaccine rollout.

The PNP will provide manpower for vaccine transport, security at vaccination sites, and even administer vaccinations.

The MRF, composed of police officers with medical and health-related degrees, is prepared to help speed up the inoculation process in areas needing assistance.

The PNP's assets, including over 180 fast boats and four helicopters, are available for vaccine delivery to various parts of the country, even remote areas.
