CIDG files raps vs Chinese nationals over POGO hub

The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) has filed illegal detention and human trafficking complaints against eight Chinese nationals involved in a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Bamban, Tarlac.

According to PNP-CIDG chief Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III, two more victims have come forward with sworn testimonies, leading to the inclusion of the respondents in the human trafficking complaints.

The victims stated they were held against their will, forced to work, and not allowed to leave the compound.

Both the victims and the respondents are currently in police custody.

Authorities had previously raided the Bamban POGO hub in March, rescuing over 800 individuals.
