PN deploys BRP Ramon Alcaraz to Indonesia naval exercise

The Philippine Navy (PN) is deploying the BRP Ramon Alcaraz (PS-16) to participate in the fifth Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo (MNEK) in Bali, Indonesia, from February 15 to 22.

The PN will send a naval task group, including the BRP Ramon Alcaraz, to engage in various surface and non-warfare events during the exercise.

The MNEK is designed to enhance cooperation among participating nations in maritime security operations and humanitarian assistance and disaster response.

Through its participation, the PN aims to strengthen relationships with regional and global partners and promote maritime security through combined operations.

The exercise provides an opportunity for the PN to reaffirm its commitment to regional peace and stability during the international fleet review and maritime security symposium.
