PCol allegedly shot dead by wife in Angeles City

A policeman was allegedly shot and killed by his wife, also a police officer, in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night, February 3, at the couple's residence in Barangay Cuayan.

Neighbors heard a gunshot and found the victim on the ground in his garage covered in blood.

The victim, a police chief master sergeant assigned to the Angeles City Police Office, was rushed to a local hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

His wife, a police staff sergeant assigned to the regional forensic unit, was taken into custody and was found holding a gun.

The PNP confirmed that the firearm found next to the victim was issued to his wife.

An inquest has been conducted, and investigators are awaiting ballistic examination results to confirm the murder weapon.

The suspect is currently detained at the Angeles City police jail.
