PITX expects 2.4M passengers for Holy Week

The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) expects around 2.4 million passengers for the Holy Week period, with travel beginning as early as April 9.

Some bus trips to Bicol provinces, including Bulan in Sorsogon, and to Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Albay, are already fully booked.

These fully booked trips include air-conditioned buses, forcing some passengers to opt for longer journeys on ordinary buses.

PITX spokesperson Jason Salvador noted that demand is high not only due to the Holy Week but also because of other events like moving-up ceremonies, leading to an extended period of high passenger volume.

Salvador anticipates a significant number of passengers from April 9 to April 23.

To manage the expected influx, PITX has made preparations and will make extra buses available.
