PH wins 5 gold medals in SEA Games taekwondo, swimming, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, and baseball

The Philippines has secured five gold medals at the ongoing 2025 Southeast Asian Games, with aspirations for more as the competitions continue.

Justin Kobe Macario earned a gold medal in taekwondo for the men's freestyle poomsae event, and also a bronze in mixed freestyle poomsae.

The women's swimming team, comprised of Kayla Sanchez, Xiandi Chua, Chloe Isleta, and Heather White, clinched gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay.

Kimberly Anne Custodio won gold in jiujitsu for the women's ne-waza 49kg division.

Dean Roxas also secured a gold medal in jiujitsu for the men's ne-waza 85kg category.

Aleah Finnegan triumphed in gymnastics, taking home the gold for the women's vault.

The Philippine Baseball Team also contributed a gold medal to the country's tally.

Tachiana Mangin won taekwondo's second gold medal for the country in the women's -49kg division.
