PH welcomes 211,899 intl passengers in Feb

The Philippines welcomed 211,899 international passengers in February following the reopening of its borders to leisure travel.

The February arrivals also mark a more than 130% increase compared to the 91,000 passenger arrivals in February 2021.

Of the total arrivals, 154,661 were Filipinos, with 72% being returning citizens.

The top foreign nationalities arriving were Americans (21,383), Canadians (4,026), and British (3,250).

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deployed additional officers and improved e-gate services to manage the expected increase in travelers.
