PH to get 10M more COVID-19 vaccine doses from COVAX

The Philippines is set to receive an additional 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines through the COVAX facility in the coming weeks.

WHO Country Representative Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe announced that larger shipments are anticipated for the third and fourth quarters.

This new allotment brings the total doses delivered by COVAX to the Philippines to 23 million.

As of September 14, the Philippines has received 4,584,000 AstraZeneca, 2,660,580 Pfizer-BioNTech, 3,000,060 Moderna, and 3,240,850 Janssen vaccine doses from COVAX.

Approximately 16.7 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
