PH records 1,257,774 COVID-19 recoveries, 6,637 new cases

The Philippines has recorded 1,257,774 recoveries from COVID-19, with 4,585 new recoveries reported.

This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 1,339,457, with recoveries accounting for 93.9 percent of this total.

The DOH also reported 6,637 new cases, bringing the total active cases to 58,407.

Of the active cases, 91.8 percent are mild, while smaller percentages are asymptomatic, severe, moderate, and critical.

An additional 155 deaths were reported, bringing the total fatalities to 23,276.

Data from June 15 indicated a positivity rate of 11.9% among the 44,425 individuals tested.

The DOH noted that 12 duplicates were removed, 10 of which were recoveries, 235 recoveries were reclassified as active cases, and 107 recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
