PH receives additional 1M CoronaVac doses

The Philippines received an additional one million doses of CoronaVac vaccine from China, increasing the country's total vaccine supply to 17.4 million doses.

About 13 million doses of various COVID-19 vaccines are expected to be delivered to the Philippines in July.

These July deliveries include 5.5 million doses of Sinovac and 1.17 million doses of AstraZeneca within the first two weeks, with potential arrivals of Moderna and Pfizer doses around July 12.

The country may also receive between 2 to 4 million doses from the COVAX facility, 800,000 to 1 million doses donated by the US government (likely Johnson & Johnson), and 1.1 million doses from the Japanese government.

In June alone, the Philippines received over 9.1 million vaccine doses, including Sinovac, Sputnik V, Pfizer-BioNTech, and Moderna.

As of June 27, over 10 million vaccine doses have been administered, with 7.5 million individuals receiving their first dose.

The government aims to achieve 500,000 daily vaccinations and reported 5,604 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total infections to 1.4 million.
