PH eyes 10M vaccine doses administered by Mon or Tue

The Philippines is projected to administer 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines by Monday or Tuesday of next week.

This projection comes as the country achieved its highest daily vaccination rate on Wednesday, June 23, with 350,000 doses administered.

National Task Force Against COVID-19 Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon attributed the increased vaccination capacity to efforts in making local government unit processes more efficient.

He also noted that the daily vaccination output remains dependent on vaccine supply.

As of June 23, the country had administered over 9.2 million doses, with 97% of individuals in the A1 priority group inoculated.

One million people in the A1 group have already completed their vaccination.

The Philippines has received over 16 million vaccine doses so far.
