PH embassy monitoring 4 missing OFWs in Myanmar after quake

The Philippine Embassy in Myanmar is monitoring four Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who are unaccounted for following a magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck the country on March 30, 2025.

The earthquake, centered near Mandalay, has caused widespread damage, with the Sky Villa building in Mandalay being a site of concern where a Filipino national may be trapped.

Out of 128 registered Filipinos in Mandalay, 121 have been located and are safe, but the remaining four individuals have yet to be found.

The embassy is actively coordinating with local authorities and international rescue teams to locate the missing nationals.

The Philippine Embassy in Yangon previously reported that official figures from Myanmar's military government indicated at least 1,002 deaths nationwide.
