PH Covid-19 cases fall to 838, lowest daily count this year

The Philippines recorded 838 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, November 28, 2021, the lowest daily count for the year, marking the fourth consecutive day with under 1,000 cases.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country is now 2,831,807, with 16,630 active infections.

Of the active cases, 47% have mild symptoms, 7.1% are asymptomatic, 6.5% are critical, 15.2% are severely ill, and 23.36% have moderate symptoms.

There were 1,217 new recoveries, bringing the total to 2,766,816, or 97.7% of the total case count.

An additional 156 fatalities were reported, raising the country's Covid-19 death toll to 48,361, or 1.71% of the total cases.

Despite the low case numbers, the DOH warned the public not to be complacent due to the ongoing threat of the Omicron variant.
