PH COVID-19 cases drop to 19,798

The Philippines' active COVID-19 cases have decreased to 19,798, representing 0.7% of the total confirmed cases.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 984 new infections on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,826,853.

There were 2,229 new recoveries reported, increasing the total recoveries to 2,759,76.

The majority of active cases are mild (56.6%), with small percentages being asymptomatic, critical, severe, or moderate.

218 new fatalities were reported, increasing the national death toll to 47,288.

The COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 2.8% based on tests conducted on November 20.

Nationwide, 32% of COVID-19 ICU beds, 28% of isolation beds, and 18% of ward beds are occupied.

In Metro Manila specifically, 33% of ICU beds, 25% of isolation beds, and 23% of ward beds are in use.
