4 nabbed in Cotabato City drug den bust

Authorities in Cotabato City have apprehended a suspected drug den operator and three associates during an anti-drug operation.

The entrapment operation, which occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Barangay Rosary Heights 9, led to the arrest of the four individuals.

The suspects were caught after selling an estimated P102,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, to undercover agents.

The operation was a collaborative effort between the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) and local police units, with support from the 5th Marine Battalion.

Following the arrest, authorities discovered drug paraphernalia within the premises, which has since been closed and is being guarded.

The seized illegal drugs will be used as evidence in the prosecution of the suspects for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
