PCOO prepares virtual viewing rooms for Duterte's SONA

The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) has set up virtual viewing rooms via Zoom for President Rodrigo Duterte's fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Communications Secretary Martin Andanar announced three separate Zoom rooms prepared for Cabinet officials, local chief executives and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

Attendees of the SONA, even those joining virtually, will be required to wear traditional Filipino attire.

The SONA is scheduled to be held at the Batasang Pambansa complex, but its location may be moved to Rizal Hall in Malacañang if any physical attendees test positive for COVID-19.

All attendees will be required to undergo RT-PCR testing before entering the Batasang Pambansa, with 50 seats reserved for lawmakers and 15 for Cabinet members if the event proceeds there.
