PBBM visits Cebu earthquake victims, inspects temporary shelters

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. visited earthquake victims in San Remigio and Bogo City, Cebu, inspecting modular units and tents intended as temporary shelters.

In San Remigio, the Bayanihan Village project features 67 prefabricated modular units, with 45 units ready for occupancy and 22 families already housed.

These modular units will house families affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake until they can be relocated to permanent residences.

The President also visited the Tent City in Bogo, where 176 tents accommodate 162 displaced families.

DHSUD has begun providing construction materials to help affected residents rebuild their homes.

The temporary shelters are for families whose homes were totally damaged or are located in hazardous areas like fault lines or sinkhole-prone zones.
