BSP launches ASEAN, festivals commemorative coins
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. received two sets of special coins from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Wednesday.
The first set included a 10-peso coin commemorating the Philippines' chairmanship of ASEAN in 2026, featuring the ASEAN 2026 logo with symbolic elements like a woven pattern, rice stalk, waves, and a balangay boat.
This ASEAN coin also contains a QR code for accessing information about ASEAN 2026.
The BSP also presented a 12-coin series of 100-peso Philippine Festivals Commemorative Coins to the President.
This series of silver commemorative coins will be released to the public starting in January 2026.
