PBBM reaffirms PH commitment to ASEAN Community Vision 2045

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reaffirmed the Philippines' steadfast commitment to the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, a plan to foster a resilient, secure, and people-centered Southeast Asia.

Speaking at the 46th ASEAN Summit, Marcos called for stronger unity among member states to ensure the region remains secure, inclusive, and governed by the rule of law.

He acknowledged the complex challenges facing ASEAN, including geopolitical tensions, territorial disputes, trade barriers, and the impacts of climate change, which could risk the region's stability.

Marcos expressed optimism that by working together, strengthening institutions, and building people's resilience and skills, ASEAN can transform challenges into opportunities for shared growth.

He highlighted that ASEAN's ability to navigate global uncertainty demonstrates the value of collective action.

The President also emphasized the critical role of young people in shaping ASEAN's future, citing the Philippines' over 30 million youth as a powerful force for change.
